In this job you will never run out of work!

In these uncertain and rapidly changing times, it is important to choose an occupation which gives you some guarantee of a long-term future.

In the UK, the Home Office publishes an official list of ‘shortage occupations’, for which a qualified and experienced overseas migrant may qualify for a Skilled Worker visa.

The list includes jobs such as, Health Service and Residential Day Care or Domiciliary Managers, various scientists and engineers, web development professionals, nurses and senior care workers.

The official government list for working visa qualification, only covers a fraction of the huge labour shortages in the UK.

According to the report by Luminate, the following industries experienced a particularly large number of hard-to-fill vacancies at professional level:

·        architectural and engineering activities

·        computer programming and consultancy

·        education

·        employment and HR

·        financial services

·        human health activities

·        legal and accounting services

·        office administrative, support and business activities

·        public administration and defence

·        residential care activities

·        retail trade

·        social work.

However, both of these lists contain glaring omissions- green jobs. In order to meet climate change targets, industry will need hundreds of thousands of skilled workers to fill new ‘green’ jobs.

For instance, is estimated that 23 million gas boilers will need to be replaced in the UK, but there are not enough trained engineers to do the work. There is a shortage of 100,000 boiler engineers right now!

Boiler engineers will have jobs for life replacing old boilers with electric and hydrogen boilers and servicing the new boilers.

Millions of petrol and diesel cars will have to be replaced as governments around the world tax them out of existence. This will create a huge number of new skilled jobs.

China is investing massively in new technology and green energy, as is the UK. The US could be left behind in what’s being called China’s century.

The 20th Century was America’s, after Great Britain’s empire started to unwind following the German led First and Second World Wars.

China is effectively colonising the world’s resources through trade rather than war.

If you exclude the disastrous Chairman Mao century, China was one of the leading economies in the world in 18 of the last 20 centuries?

The UK government recently announced a massive retraining programme to reskill millions of workers whose jobs have become redundant due to new technology.

The important word is “skilled”. Tens of millions of unskilled, as well as many skilled and technical jobs in accounting and law, will disappear in the next decade, so prepare yourself.

Self-driving vehicles, AI and robotic technology are already here!

Education is key to your future. Not just formal education, but also relevant vocational and on-the-job training in which you can ‘earn while you learn.

An increasing number of people prefer to quit the rat race and start their own businesses, which is great.

Caution. Don’t fire your boss until you can replace your salary with your new business and do not spend all your savings or borrow to set up an expensive physical business like a shop.

An ideal way to start is to set up a part-time online business, which you can run from home with little or no capital.

New immigration rules open up opportunities for migrants to live and work in the UK

The government recently announced key reforms to the visa immigration system which will open up opportunities for talented people to migrate live and work in the UK.

In a new policy shift, the government wants to reform the immigration system to help ambitious UK businesses attract the brightest and best international talent.

Key takeaways:

·        March 2022, introduce an elite points-based visa

·        New ’scale up’ for those with a job offer from a recognised UK to upgrade to a fast-track visa

·        Reform the Global Talent visa to open up to the brightest and best around the world

·        Review Innovator visa to make it easier for those with skills and experience to obtain a visa

·        Launch a new Global Business Mobility visa by spring 2022

·        Global Mobility Visa for overseas businesses to establish in or transfer staff to the UK

·        Give new support to small firms that are using the visa system for the first time

·        Modernise and simplify the immigration sponsorship system to make it easier to use

·        Build a new global outreach programme expanding the Global Entrepreneur Programme and actively marketing the UK’s visa offering and explore building an overseas talent network.

The promised overhaul of the immigration system following Brexit from the EU will give UK businesses can hire in a significantly wider range of skilled roles from around the world.

Whilst the Global Talent visa (was Tier 1 Global Talent) currently allows recognised or potential leaders in academia or research, arts & culture and digital technology to move to the UK, the reforms will simplify the application process.

The new practical support to small firms using the immigration system could really help British businesses attract talent from around the world.

The government is also increasing its support of the fintech industry, which could point to a more sector-based approach in helping specific industries to recruit more overseas staff to live and work in the UK.

There is a definite change of approach towards immigration within Home Office under Home Secretary Pritti Patel, whose parents came to live in the UK as migrants.

The much-needed modernisation of the Sponsor Management System is long overdue, as the system has not had any major upgrades since 2008. The upgraded SMS system will make it easier for Sponsor Licence holders to use and will businesses who want to sponsor migrant workers.

Immigration Rule changes opens door to recruit overseas health and senior care staff to work in the UK

Overseas workers in key health and care roles will have more opportunity to work in the UK following changes announces to the Immigration Rules, the Home Office has announced.

New jobs that have been added to the UK Shortage Occupation List, which gives people in these roles a major advantage in obtaining a skilled worker visa, include…see full article on my blog page.

How To Start A Money Making Business From Home, With NO Capital And NO Risk!

With pubs and restaurants closed for the lockdown in the UK and Ireland it's a reminder of how vulnerable physical businesses, like pubs, restaurants and shops are to economic downturns or market changes.

At the same time, internet business owners are getting richer. Never in history has more goods been bought on the internet.

Even before the pandemic, the high street was already under pressure from online shopping, which has exploded in the last few years.

High rents, taxes and competition from the likes of Amazon and Shopify have driven large retailers, like Debenhams, out of business and forced John Lewis to start closing 70% of its 50 plus stores in the UK.

How does this help you get started online?

The internet has given small home-based businesses an opportunity to compete with the big companies which have dominated the market. They took the best sites in the high street and malls, and often drove small retailers to the wall with massive advertising and undercutting. Fortunately, this has now changed and that’s how you can benefit from the online bonanza.

You can now set up a risk-free online business or store - from home in your spare time - and sell to a potential market of 5 billion people browsing the internet every day looking for solutions to their problems.

You no longer need to rent a shop or premises and pay high taxes and bills before you make a penny. And you don’t have to quit your job until your business income exceeds your salary.

Here are 3 simple steps.

Step 1

Sell solutions to people’s problems

Research your idea or product online – where else! You can check on Google how many people are searching for products or solutions to their problems. For instance, millions of people want to be slimmer and healthier, especially in these times. According to wordstream 450,000 people have recently searched for “how to lose weight” on the internet. Other ‘keyword’ searches like “diet” and “lose weight fast” had similar results. That’s just one niche!

You can literally find out how many people are searching for keyword solutions by checking on Google and specialists like Wordstream and Mondovo absolutely free. Market research like this was previously only available to large companies with large budgets. Now you can access it for free.

You can get up and running with your online business website today for free with GrooveFunnels. For more information…click here

Step 2

Set up your online business today

Set up an online business selling products that people are looking for (not what you think the market needs), or sell to people online from your existing business, by setting your website online today. You don’t need to pay a designer or software engineer to set up a website, as there are readymade templates and off-the-shelf website pages to get your business started today. In the past, I have spent tens of thousands on websites because they had to be designed and built from scratch, which took months. Fortunately, you don’t have to go through this pain.

You can now build a simple website for free using GrooveFunnels template pages and built-in shopping cart checkout facilities with a click of a button. GrooveFunnels is offering free lifetime access for a limited period only – no credit card required to open and start using your free account. For more informationhttps://groovepages.groovesell.com/a/uy9VcdqIvopT, click here

Step 3

Now decide what you are going to sell and how and GET STARTED!

Decide what niche you want to be in and what you want to sell. Unless you already have your own products and business (which you may want to change based on your new research on what people actually want) you can start by selling other people’s products and services for a generous commission of between 10 and 50%. This is essentially how some of the biggest companies in the world make billions in profits.

Booking.com and Airbnb do not own their own hotels and Amazon helps millions of small retailers and authors sell online for a commission.

If you want to start earning cash today, GrooveFunnels will also pay you a commission to recommend their fantastic free software to your friends, colleagues and customers when you open your free account. Find out how to earn money

Here’s the best part. It’s risk free and no capital investment required! No re-mortgaging your house and borrowing thousands or risking everything to open up a physical business. And you can get started right away. What have you got to lose?

PS. One final thing…this free lifetime access is on offer for a limited period only.

GrooveFunnels only plan to keep this offer open for a short while and will soon start charging at least $99 dollars per month to access the same package you can get for free for life – NO credit card needed…FREE LIFETIME ACCESS.

UK Border Restrictions And Enforced Hotel Quarantine From Covid-19 Virus Hotspots

The Government is imposing UK border restrictions on travellers, including British residents, arriving in England from Coronavirus hotspots. Passengers will be taken form airports directly to designated hotels where they will have to remain in quarantine, Prime Minister Boris Johnson has announced.

The new rules will apply to anyone coming from South America, southern Africa and Portugal.

The strict new measures also apply to British nationals and residents entering from high-risk countries who will be required to quarantine in a hotel at their own expense for up to 10 days.

Speaking to the House of Commons on Wednesday, Mr Johnson told MPs that all travel from 22 countries, including South Africa, Portugal and South American nations, had been banned.

He said that whilst all such arrivals would not be refused entry, they would be required to isolate in government provided accommodation, such as hotels, for 10 days "without exception".

People from certain countries will now be met at the airport and "transported directly into quarantine", with the Department of Health and Social Care (DHSC) working to set up these facilities.

Since the start of the pandemic, travellers from almost every country were issued with a letter asking them to “self-isolate” and then allowing them to travel on public transport with no test or even a temperature check.

Even though passengers will still be allowed into the UK from high-risk countries like the USA, a travel ban on UK citizens for leisure purposes will be enforced at airports and ports.

Mr Johnson said: "Under the stay-at-home regulations, it is illegal to leave home to travel abroad for leisure purposes and we will enforce this at ports and airports by asking people why they are leaving and instructing them to return home if they do not have a valid reason to travel."

The Home Secretary Priti Patel said it was "clear that there are too many people coming in and out of our country each day" and that border measures would be toughened up to "reduce passenger flow" and protect the UK's "world-leading" vaccination programme.

Outlining other border measures, Ms Patel said police would increase checks at home addresses to ensure arrivals were complying with self-isolation rules and that the UK would continue to refuse entry non-UK citizens from "red list" countries which were already subject to the travel ban.

The Home Secretary also announced a new requirement for people wishing to travel abroad, who will now need make a declaration stating “why they needed to travel”, which would be checked by carriers prior to departure.

"Going on holiday is not a valid reason," she said.

More police will be deployed at ports and airports with fines for those found to be in breach of stay-at-home regulations.

Ms Patel added that "Anyone who doesn't have a valid reason for travel will be directed to return home or they will face a fine."

This is the first time a restriction on leaving the country has been imposed on UK citizens outside of wartime.

However, it has not been made clear why the UK borders remain open to dozens of countries with high infection rates while UK citizens, currently in a third national lockdown, are banned from visiting countries with lower infection rates than Britain.

Unemployment in the UK is soaring by highest rate since 2009 crisis leaving people wondering what they can to survive and earn money in an increasingly uncertain future.

With thousands of small and physical businesses being crushed by the lockdown and jobs disappearing forever, many are turning to self-employment and in particular ecommerce.

Why risk tens of thousands of pounds or dollars setting up a new shop or physical business, which has a 95% chance of failure, when you could start an online ecommerce business from home for a fraction of the cost and virtually risk free?

An online business gives you the freedom to work from anywhere in the world, and can even be initially run alongside your current job.

UK Home Office White Paper Reveals Post-Brexit Immigration Rules for EU and Non-EU Migrants

In a major shake-up to the immigration rules, thousands of low-skilled migrants could come and work in the UK for up to a year under proposed new post-Brexit migration rules.

The low-skilled migration programme is intended to protect parts of the economy reliant on overseas labour until 2025.

British Home Secretary Sajid Javid told the press that the new system would be based on UK needs rather than where migrants were from and show the UK "open for business".

Announcing what he said would be the biggest shake-up of immigration policy for 40 years, Mr Javid has moved away from a "specific target" for reducing numbers coming into the UK, net migration would come down to "sustainable levels", he said.

The government White Paper - a document setting out proposed new laws before they are formalised in a government bill and law - includes:

  • Removing the cap on the number of skilled workers, such as doctors or engineers, from EU and non-EU countries
  • A consultation on the minimum salary requirement of £30,000 for skilled migrants seeking five-year visas
  • No visas for visitors from the EU
  • Phasing in the new system from 2021

The Home Secretary said the proposals would enable the UK to exercise control over its borders and "deliver on the clear instruction" of the British people when they voted to leave the EU.

The ending of free movement from the European Union forms part of Prime Minister Theresa May's Brexit deal.

Lower-skilled and unskilled working migrants will no longer be able to come to work in the UK from Europe and automatically settle permanently the government says.

A "transitional measure" will allow people from "low-risk countries" in Europe and outside the EU will be able to come to the UK, without a job offer, and seek work for up to a year on a temporary visa, similar to a working holiday arrangement.

The new scheme will help fill vacancies in sectors such as construction and social care which are dependent on foreign labour. Ministers fear these sectors will struggle to adapt when free movement of labour ends.

There will be a "cooling off period" after a year of temporary work, meaning people will be expected to leave at that point and not to apply again for a further 12 months.

Applicants will have to pay a fee and will not get access to public funds or be able to switch to any other migration visa scheme.

The numbers being admitted on the one year scheme could be "similar" to the 170,000 workers from outside the European Economic Area currently in low or unskilled roles, it is estimated.

Critics, such as Migration Watch, argue that there was no way of making sure people left after a year and the immigration figures, which do not include people in the UK for less than a year, could be distorted as a result.

"It is shocking that the government should have caved in so completely to the demands of industry while ignoring the strong public desire to get immigration down," said Migration Watch chair Lord Green.

"The chief winners will be business, as they exploit the bonanza of a huge new pool of labour from around the world while continuing to avoid their responsibility to the public to recruit and train up local talent."

The curbing of free movement is expected to work both ways affecting Brits who want to work in Europe. The EU has not given any blanket assurances to Britons living in other EU countries instead leaving it to individual member states to set their own rules.

Prime Minister May sticks to election pledge to reduce net migration to the tens of thousands

With a surprise general election set for 9 June, Prime Minister Theresa May has confirmed the Conservative pledge of slashing net migration to the "tens of thousands", or what she described as "sustainable levels".

Mrs May, who is currently twenty points ahead of her nearest rival, Labour leader  Jeremy Corbyn, in the UK election polls, said it was important to reach net migration targets to reduce pressure on public services and the lower paid workers.

Theresa May

She said: "I think it is important that we continue, and we will continue, to say that we do want to bring net migration down to sustainable levels.

"We believe that is the tens of thousands, and of course once we leave the European Union we will have the opportunity to ensure that we have control of our borders here in the UK, because we'll be able to establish our rules for people coming from the European Union into the UK."

Referring to Brexit, May continued: "That's a part of the picture that we haven't been able to control before and we will be able to control it.

"Leaving the EU means that we won't have free movement as it has been in the past."
Party sources had earlier revealed to the press that the commitment would appear in the party's
General Election manifesto.

Amber Rudd

On Sunday, Home Secretary Amber Rudd confirmed she wanted to "continue to bring immigration down", which under her watch have started to fall.

Who will make our coffee and croissant?

Miss Rudd, who took control of the Home Office from Theresa May added:

"I did hear that Pret a Manger had come out and said, 'It's absolutely essential for us to have European workers because if we don't we're going to have to make more of an effort to recruit in the UK'.

"Well, good. I'd like them to make more of an effort to recruit in the UK. So we will be trying to push them as well to do more in the UK.

"Them and all business – so that we make sure we look after people who are otherwise unemployed in the UK better".

Pret's director of human resources claimed it would struggle to staff its outlets after Brexit because so few British people apply for jobs. Andrea Wareham said the industry was not seen as sufficiently desirable to attract a significant number of British jobseekers.

The coffee chain employs people from 110 countries, but in London you are more likely to find European workers running the show. With millions of able bodied British people claiming benefits, it is hardly surprising that Amber Rudd refuses to pander to those worried about who will make their coffee or warm up their croissant in the stores that seem occupy almost every other shopfront in London. How did we all manage before Starbucks started our obsession with coffee?

None of the main parties has said that EU migrants living here would not be able to continue to live and work in the UK.

Recent immigration figures reveal that net migration fell to 273,000 in the year to September, which is the first time in two years that the balance of people arriving and leaving the UK slid below 300,000.

The number of international students coming to study in Britain dropped to their lowest level since 2002, which contributed to the overall net migration figures.

Jeremy Corbyn said Labour would introduce a "fair" and managed immigration system that "works for all", while pointing out many immigrants have made a "massive contribution" to the NHS, education, industry and public transport services.

The previous Blair Labour government opened the doors to millions of migrants across all sectors from care workers and nurses to international students. At the same time the EU expansion took place adding at least 2 million migrants from former Soviet Bloc countries such as Poland and Romania.

Since coming to power in 2010, the Conservatives have reversed the spiralling immigration trend with tough new measures - such as scrapping the Post Study Work Visa, reforming the visa appeal system and introducing fines to landlords housing illegal immigrants - even if former Prime Minister David Cameron’s original targets have not yet been reached.

How will UK Immigration changes on 6 April affect you?

This year the Home Office has implemented a number of key changes to the UK Immigration Rules, including introducing recommendations by the Migration Advisory Committee to managed migration and Tier 2 working visas, most of which will take effect on 6 April 2017.

Tier 2 sponsoring employers and those applying or Tier 2 working visas or work permits to work in the UK should take note of the following new requirements:

Immigration Skills Charge

As announced by UK Immigration Matters last month, an Immigration Skills Charge of £1000 per skilled worker per year will be levied on employers in the Tier 2 (General) and Tier 2 (ICT) categories, reduced to £364 for small and charitable sponsors.  The money raised by the tax will be used  for training to help reduce skills gaps in the UK workforce. The charge will not apply to Ph.D.-level occupations, ICT graduate trainees, and those switching in country from Tier 4 student visas to Tier 2

Overseas Criminal Record Certificates

The UK Home Office is extending the requirement to provide criminal record certificates for certain occupations to Tier 2 (General) applicants and their adult dependent partners. The requirement will not apply to those applying under the Tier 2 (Intra-company Transfer (ICT)) route.

Migrants applying from overseas after 6 April 2017 where the main applicant is coming to work in the UK in the education, health, or social care sector will be required to obtain criminal record certificates.

Immigration Health Surcharge

First introduced in 2015, non-EEA migrants applying for Tier 2 (ICT) and their dependants will be required to pay the Immigration Health Surcharge of £200 per person per year. This also applies to non-EEA nationals in the UK and applying to extend their visas.

Tier 2 Application changes

The Home Office frequently change application forms, so always check the latest version before submitting an application. Minimum salary threshold for Tier 2 (General) experienced workers is increasing by £5000 from £25,000 to £30,000, but will be held at £20,800 for “new entrants”.

The Tier 2 category covers UK companies employing or “sponsoring” non-EEA nationals to work in skilled jobs in the UK. The threshold and entry bar has been rising for a number of years for non-EEA workers and there are far less migrants coming to work or study in the UK, in comparison to the Blair government years and we are now seeing net migration falling.

The main changes include:

  • A temporary exemption to the Tier 2 (General) minimum salary threshold will apply for nurses, medical radiographers, paramedics, and secondary school teachers in mathematics, physics, chemistry, computer science, and Mandarin until July 2019.
  • The Shortage Occupation List (jobs listed in this list mean sponsors do not have to carry out Resident Labour Market Tests) has been amended to include secondary school teachers in combined science, computer science, and Mandarin. However, secondary school teachers in chemistry are being removed from the Shortage Occupation List.
  • The minimum salary for indefinite leave to remain applicants submitted on or after 6 April 2022 will increase to £37,900.

Relocation of High-value Business to the UK

In order to encourage the relocation of a high-value business and significant new inward investment projects into the UK, some changes are being made to Resident Labour Market Test where the sponsor is a newly registered  branch or subsidiary of an overseas business and the investment involves new capital of £27 million or the creation of at least 21 new British jobs.

Visitor visa rules have been changed so applications for visitor visas can be made at any post in the world designated by the UK Home Office.

EU Passport in 6 Months

Britain is not the only country trying to attract high net worth individuals and businesses. EU countries like Cyprus, Malta and Portugal all offer citizenship, and EU passports in return for varying levels of direct investment,

EU member Cyprus offers probably the fastest and most flexible route to citizenship with no residency requirement and a 6 month application process for individuals with at least 2 million Euros to invest in Cypriot property via their investor programme.

Important Update on Nursing Job Vacancies in UK and Ireland

UK and Ireland are recruiting nurses NOW and offering work permits and working visas which can lead to permanent residence and an EU passport.

Earlier this week I informed you that UK Tier 2 Work Permits and Irish work permits are available now for non-EU trained nurses living in the UK or overseas. This could include qualified nurses from any country as long as they meet the UK NMC (Nursing and Midwifery Council) or the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Ireland (NMBI) requirements - experience, English language.

Hospitals and Nursing Homes are paying generous salaries and allowances to Nurses, as they desperately need staff. UK hospital salaries start at around £25,000 pa and Nursing Homes pay up to £30,000 pa.

Irish Nursing Homes are offering up to 18 Euros per hour once you are fully qualified to work as a nurse in Ireland, which is a member of the European Union and not to be confused with Northern Ireland which is part of the UK.

In order for a non-EU trained nurse to work as a nurse in the UK, you must achieve a minimum IELTS score of 7.00 in all bands and pass the NMC Part 1 online test. Whilst this is proving difficult for some candidates, the system is actually more straightforward than the old 0NP adaptation programme it replaced.

My tip is to prepare for the test like you would for any other exam. Read IELTS study guides or attend classes, as this is not an easy English test. There is no point in applying or sending a CV to me for a UK nursing job unless you have scored 7.00 in ALL bands.

However, the Irish NMBI system is less stringent and whilst you need an overall IELTS band score of 7, you can still qualify with a lower score in some areas.

Full details of IELTS Academic - minimum scores for working as a nurse trained outside the EU/EEA in Ireland.
Listening  6.5
Reading   6.5
Writing    7.0
Speaking 7.0

Overall   7.0

Unlike the UK, which changed its rules on 19 January 2016, Ireland has NO English language requirement for EU/EEA nurses or nurses who trained and qualified in the EU/EEA.

The UK now requires IELTS 7.00 for EU nurses, which appears to conflict with European free movement treaties.

The Republic of Ireland does not have the same restrictions on working for Croatian citizens, as imposed in the UK.

This is a window of opportunity for nurses who want to work in the UK or Ireland - and it will not stay open for long.

I have received hundreds of emails from nurses all over the world asking about the process for working in the UK.

In case you missed it, here’s a summary of what to do if you are a non-EU nurses and want to work in the UK as a qualified registered nurse without the need to study here for a nursing degree:

  1. You must be a registered nurse in your own country (surprising how many enquiries I receive from non-nurses or care workers who cannot qualify for a UK work permit).
  2. You must have 3 years plus of pre-registration training and practice.
  3. You must obtain an overall band score of 7.00 or more - in all subjects - on an IELTS English exam (no exceptions).
  4. You should register online with the NMC
  5. Pass the first stage online test (CBT).
  6. Assuming you pass the test, you will need to get through a UK-based assessment - Objective Structured Clinical Examination (OSCE) before you can be licensed by the NMC to practice as a nurse.
  7. You need to find an employer to sponsor your work permit and UK visa.

NMC fees for the 4 stage application process:

Application for nursing/midwifery £140
Part 1 test of competence (CBT) £130
Part 2 test of competence (OSCE) £992
Admission onto our register £153
Total £1415

Some employers may pay for or advance a loan to cover part or all of the above costs.

For full details, check the NMC website http://www.nmc.org.uk/ and see if you will qualify for UK registration.

I can find a SPONSORING EMPLOYER AND JOB for you in the UK - and help you get a work permit - if you have IELTS 7.00 and preferrably have started the NMC process. If you are a nurse and want to work in the UK. email your CV and IELTS results.

Ireland are also recruiting nurses and offering work permits and unlike the UK there are NO English language test for EU trained nurses.

Do you really a need to migrate?

It has long been assumed that people in poorer countries must emigrate to richer countries to succeed and earn a living for their family.  However, this is no longer be the first choice for everyone. There has been a substantial economic shift during the past decade helped on by the technological and information revolutions.

Millions of people are now choosing to work from home and avoid the pain of leaving their families behind for employment thousands of miles away. Major outsourcing platforms like Upwork.com and Fivver offer anyone with a laptop and an internet connection the chance to earn a living working from the comfort of their own home anywhere in the world.

We can also trade stocks and shares or foreign exchange (FOREX) using inexpensive real-time technology that would have previously only been available to large institutions.

Students can also earn legitimate degrees from major universities online at a fraction of the cost of travelling abroad.

Making money with home-based businesses like Affiliate Marketing - selling other people's products for a commission - now offers huge opportunities in the home-based business economy and I believe it is only just getting started.

Companies like Amazon and Ebay offer affiliate marketing programs, albeit for small commissions meaning you have to sell a lot of products to make serious money. With some schemes, you will need quite a bit of technical knowledge to set up your own websites, systems and marketing campaigns.

More and more people are looking to ditch the daily grind of long commute, doing a job they hate and spending half their lives trading their time for money and working to make someone else rich.

Replacing your salary from a job is easier said than done, right? Well, maybe. I recently came across a company which offers stay-at-home workers who want to escape the rat race the opportunity to earn affiliate commission without the need to set up websites or possess any technical knowledge. The company trains their students online through a structured series of modules and webinars as well as live support and mentoring.

The initial training, reports and information on how to escape the 9-5 life, join the new rich and live the laptop lifestyle is downloadable and totally free. Check it out, click here.

UK BREXIT Deal Could Slam Door on EEA Non-EU Partner Loophole

The United Kingdom is facing one of the most important decisions in decades, as voters decide whether to stay ‘in or out’ of the European Union in an EU referendum this June.

UK Prime Minister wants us to remain in the EU, but the so-called reform package has not convinced many senior Conservatives, such as London Mayor Boris Johnson, that a British EU exit or BREXIT is not in the country’s best interests.

In a bid to reassure the public that remaining inside a reformed EU, David Cameron recently announced a series of concessions from EU Ministers following intense negotiations including  reduced Child Benefit for EU nationals sending money home to their absent children, protection for the pound outside the Euro currency and no further part in EU expansion. However, the deal falls short of promised reforms and, crucially, the all important ‘free movement’ rights remains non-negotiable.

In his speech, Mr Cameron also mentioned an important proposed change to the “unfair advantage” EEA nationals have over British citizens when bringing their non-EU dependants into the UK.

The proposed removal of this free movement right has not been reported in the mainstream press, despite the fact that it could be one of the most important reforms Mr Cameron has squeezed out of the tight fisted European bureaucrats.

The loophole allows EEA nationals to override UK Immigration Rules when entering the UK with their non-EU family members based on landmark ECHR human rights judgements.

If implement by the EU, the change Treaty Regulations will mean that EEA nationals will be subject to the same restrictions as UK citizens, including the Minimum Income Requirement (MIR). But in order to achieve this, the 2006 European Regulations will have to be changed, with the agreement of member states.

The Supreme Court is considering legal challenges to Home Office Immigration Rules that require a UK sponsor to have a minimum gross annual income of £18,600 before they can apply for partners from non-EEA (European Economic Area) states to join them.

The immigration appeal cases have gone all the way through appeals to the highest court in the land and include judicial review applications brought by two British citizens (as well as a challenge to the tough Appendix FM rules), referred to as AM and SJ, who cannot meet the minimum income requirement and MM, a refugee from the Lebanon in a similar position, and his nephew AF.

Until the rules are amended by Europe, EU citizen marrying a non-EU citizen will find it far easier to come and live in the UK with their partner than a British citizen.

Using the same EEA rules, they can bring extended family dependants into the UK, a right that UK citizens do not enjoy.

Bizarrely, a British citizen must go and live in an EEA member state before they can be treated as EEA nationals with the same free movement rights.

Meanwhile, NHS hospitals in the UK and Irish hospitals are recruiting nurses from the EU and countries like the Philippines in a desperate bid to fill UK nursing vacancies. The NHS is creaking at the seams with staff shortages and an unhappy workforce. Juniors Doctors even went on strike recently over changes to their pay package.

Tier 2 Work Permits and full working visas are available for non-EU trained Filipino Nurses living in the UK or overseas. Hospitals and Nursing Homes are paying generous salaries and allowances to Nurses, as they desperately need staff.

In order to work as a nurse in the UK, you must achieve a minimum IELTS score of 7.00 in all bands and pass the NMC Part 1 online test. Whilst this is proving difficult for some candidates, the system is actually more straightforward than the old 0NP adaptation programme it replaced. My tip is to prepare for the test like you would for any other exam. Read IELTS study guides or attend classes, as this is not an easy English test.

Southern and Northern Ireland also needs more nurses, so now is the time to apply and take that IELTS test!

This is a window of opportunity for nurses who want to work in the UK or Ireland - and it will not stay open for long.

If you are an overseas nurse or a European care worker (EU citizens only) and would like to work in the UK, email your CV.

Train More British Nurses Instead of Importing Foreign Staff Says UK Prime Minister As International Recruits Ease NHS Staffing Crisis

Marking 100 days since the Conservatives won the General Election, the UK Prime Minister David Cameron was interviewed by Justin Webb for BBC Radio 4 this week. One of the questions he was asked was how he felt about the rising number of non-EU nurses coming to work in the UK to cover staff shortages in the NHS.

The RCN nursing union estimates that there are 20,000 nurse job vacancies in the NHS and warns of a staffing crisis as thousands of nurses retire in the next few years.

Mr Cameron said we should be providing more nursing training for our own UK citizens for healthcare jobs that are currently growing within the economy.

Specifically on international nurses, Cameron added that the international nurses coming to work in the UK make a huge contribution to the country and the NHS, but called for better at workforce planning.

Knowing how many NHS nurses are needed, Cameron wants to encourage more young people to take nursing degrees at UK universities and promised help to provide the training places to meet the unmet demand.

In the meantime, thousands of job vacancies and shifts are being filled by expensive agency staff, which is why NHS hospitals are flying teams of managers all over the world to recruit international nurses. To add to their pressure, the government has also told NHS bosses to cut back on the millions spent on agency nurses.

Commenting on UK migration levels he stated that immigration controls go hand-in-hand with controlling the welfare system.

New immigration laws coming into force will mean that by April 2017 up to 30,000 non-EU nurses on Tier 2 Work Permits will have to leave the UK if they are not earning more that £35,000 per year. A Band 5 NHS nurse earns £25,000-£26,000, but could top this up with agency temping work.

Ironically, British trained nurses can easily earn well over £35,000 pa by taking up nurse jobs in America or Australia, prompting many of our best nurses to leave the UK each year, which only adds to the staffing time bomb in the NHS.

Bearing in mind that there are not enough places on nursing degree courses at British universities to meet current demands, and that it takes 3-4 years to train a nurse, it will be interesting to see how the NHS copes with UK nursing shortages over the next couple of years.

International nurses who want to work in the UK as a nurse should check the NMC (Nursing and Midwifery Council) website for the requirements, such as an overall band score of 7.00 in the English language IELTS test, and new competency tests. Last year the NMC changed the old ONP scheme to a two stage test, which many nurses are failing.

For full details on the new registration process and working in the UK for non-EU trained nurses or midwives, visit the NMC website, or email me your CV if you are interested in migrating to the UK and working as a nurse or need a Tier 2 Work Permit and Home Office working visa sponsorship for a UK job in the NHS.

New National Living Wage Will Boost Care Worker Pay From April 2016

A new National Living Wage of £7.20 an hour for workers aged 25 or over will be introduced from April 2016, the UK Chancellor George Osborne announced in his Budget Statement yesterday.

The National Living Wage will replace the National Minimum Wage pay rate (for over 25's) - currently £6.50 per hour and is set to rise to £6.70 per hour on 1 October 2015 - next April, and will rise to over £9 an hour by 2020.

Some workers will lose a benefit called 'tax credits', which means the pay rise is not as exciting for them, but for most the new living wage will be a welcome boost to their take home pay, especially with the reduction in tax for the lower paid.

The UK government wants to make it more attractive to work than live off benefits.

Colin Angel, Policy Director for the UKHCA (United Kingdom Care Home Association) said:

"UKHCA supports measures which improve the terms and conditions of low-paid workforces. We note that Government's announcement on a National Living Wage for workers aged 25 years and above is offset to some degree by changes to employers' National Insurance contributions. However, due to the age profile of the social care workforce this announcement will have a significant impact on the cost of homecare."

Most home care providers and nursing agencies already pay their staff above the minimum wage and is currently recruiting Care Support Workers to work in Hertfordshire, Northampton and Southend-on-Sea. The company has also recruited overseas Nurses, Doctors and Health Care Assistants (HCA's) from EU countries, such as Spain, Ireland, Greece and Croatia, to work in UK NHS hospitals and care homes.
